SERIES SATURDAY: The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

Series Saturday is a new meme created by us to introduce readers to new amazing series we love as well as just fangirl about them!

So today's spotlight:

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

I think almost everyone is familiar with these books to some extend. HannahCassie has mention them quite a bit since she read them recently... I read them as well but a long time ago... back to when I became obsessed with Cassandra Clare's series because I had nothing better to read. Thus, my rating on Goodreads may not be accurate. I'll re-read them and write proper reviews okay?

Now, this trilogy is the prequel to The Mortal Instruments, which by the way has been adapted to TV under the name Shadowhunters. It takes place in Victorian London and it gives inside to some things that appear in TMI but just as little details and here they explain them. I would recommend to read this books either before or after reading TMI. I read them after and it didn't affect the reading in any way.

Clockwork Angel book blurb
In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Timesbestselling Mortal Instruments series.

The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them...

There is a lot of debate with favorites here... Hannah and I agree that Tessa is okay but meh. The boys... are another story. She loves Jem and I love Will. They're parabatai but their bond is so strong and cute... they'll do anything for each other. Whatever "team" you're on you have to care for both boys because if something happens to one of them, the other one suffers.

Hannah's reviews:
Clockwork Angel
Clockwork Prince
Clockwork Princess
(mine will be added whenever I re-read them)
